Impro Melbourne invites audiences to The Space in Prahran for a season of complex and clever competition. Gorilla Theatre™ takes the audience on a delightful and daring journey, crafting curious stories and fearless theatre. Directors and players contend for audience approval in an adventurous and playful night of impro!

Gorilla Theatre™ sees five directors explore a chosen theme with the aim of replacing boring theatre with a show that is electrifying, impulsive and unforgettable. Using their fellow directors as performers they have to fight for their artistic vision to reach that goal!

Ultimately the players must outsmart and untangle the unknown to win the audience over – after each scene the crowd votes to declare it a success or a failure, with a penalty for scenes that don’t please…

The cast includes Impro Melbourne’s own Jenny Lovell, Patrick Duffy, Sarah Kinsella, Patti Stiles, Amy Moule, Jaime Cerda, Kevin Yank, Nigel Sutton, Trevor Major plus special guests!
