Tim Roach

Performance Experience

Tim is an accomplished performer and director with experience spanning over 15 years. With a genuine passion for the arts, Tim has been an performed in numerous plays and musicals, including in 'Noises Off', 'Little Shop of Horrors', 'A Chorus Line', 'Grease', and 'Night of the Living Dead'. Tim has been improvising with for 6 years, and has performed in a number of shows with ImproMelbourne, as well as being a performer in Innes Lloyd’s ‘Time Lord’ in the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Beyond his on-stage talents, Tim's expertise extends to stage management, lighting design, and teaching through his role as a drama teacher. He has directed and produced independent projects in Melbourne and Sydney Fringe Festivals, Short and Sweet Festival Sydney, and has worked behind the scenes on many other productions.

A staunch arts advocate, Tim Roach volunteers as a Committee of Management member, and has presented on arts education for Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Theatre Company, Horsham SparkArts program, as well as the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

 

Teaching Experience

Tim Roach is an experienced educator, holding a Bachelor of Cultural and Performance Studies from Macquarie University and a Masters of Teaching (Drama and English) from the University of Melbourne. With a diverse teaching history, he has passionately taught high school Drama for 8 years, inspiring creativity and nurturing students' artistic interests.

Tim's experience also extends to primary school students, having run an independent business, teaching young aspiring performers. He has lectured at the Australian Catholic University, contributing to the development of future educators, and has acted as a curriculum and assessment consultant, resource creator, and delivers professional learning to teachers about all things Drama.
