This year was my first as a player on Celebrity TheatreSports™. For the past two years I had been involved as a ‘Snogger’ or sceneographer (thoroughly enjoyable).

I was fortunate enough to be on a team with the inspirational Sarah Kinsella as team captain, the gorgeous Fabio from Italy and our wonderful celebrity guest Jay Laga’aia.

The feeling you get from playing in a large theatre, on a stage full of incredible talent and support is indescribable. The audience buzzed with excitement and energy, fueling the players on stage.

Celebrity TheatreSports™ is in a way a different beast to that of the regular TheatreSports™ we play. As improvisers we are taught from the very beginning to ‘make our scene partners look good’. I felt as an Impro Melbourne ensemble member, even greater need to focus my attention and support towards our guest players – it was after all their show and what a show it was!

Not only were the audience buzzing with energy and excitement but so too were the players and guests in the dressing room before and after the show. I feel very privileged to have been a part of Celebrity TheatreSports™ 2015.
