Impro Melbourne is delighted to welcome Franck Buzz from the SUBITO company of Brest, France and Kaisa Koko from JOO Theater, Finland to Melbourne. As well as the performances of Franck's show impro LightboX on November 25th and 26th, Impro Melbourne offers you the chance to work with and learn from these two amazing international performers.
On Sunday November 26th there are two workshops open to the public.
KAISA KOKO:

Kaisa Kokko is an improviser, director and a communication skills instructor from Finland. She studied music, special education and education at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, and has masters in Education (M.Ed). Kaisa has also studied communication skills, various forms of dancing & musical instruments and improvisation (iO Chicago, Unexpected Productions Seattle and many teachers around the globe).
12-2pm: Universal Fear with Kaisa Koko
A 2 hour workshop that explores the personal fears we have, share and own - from the perspective of performative art. In this workshop participants share their own fears and then examine in performance. Fears are universal and it is a wonderful possibility to truly invite our audiences to feel connected with the experience.
Prerequisite skills: participants must have completed Impro Melbourne's Spontaneity and Narrative Technique courses, or similar training with another impro company.

FRANCK BUZZ:
The co-founder and artistic director of IMPRO INFINI and SUBITO, the largest international impro festival in France, Franck Buzz enjoys playing free and organic improvisation, mixing languages and cultural differences to share the pleasure of interacting and connecting with others.
This search for diversity, coupled with his extensive training and incredible talent, has seen Franck invited to perform and teach for many companies throughout France and around the world. In fact, he’s only just finished performing and teaching in Dubai, for the Arabian Nights Festival and Conference produced by the International Theatresports Institute.
Inspired by the great masters of black and white movies, Franck begins with the premise: “we shouldn’t talk unless we can improve the silence and instead, just be.”
He draws on his extensive background in physical theatre and the practice of connecting to, exploring the diversity of, and trusting the instincts and impulses of the body.
2.30-5.30pm: Improvise with Lights: the technique behind LightboX
Discover how light can become your partner on stage and how you can create strong and powerful pictures to heighten your creativity and playfulness. Inspired by the « Lightbox » format, you will play in several lighting and videos atmospheres to enter in a new universe of fantasy and craziness. Unique and innovative experience ! Guaranteed fun !
