Shakespeare's plays were about love, loss, friendship, family, honour, joy, war, mischief and magic. These themes invite improvisers to take risks and make bold choices. Love wholeheartedly, lust after power, be swept into a witch's prophecy.
Over four weeks we will explore the world of William Shakespeare, culminating in three live directed performances using the tools we've learned. We will play with the themes, language, characters and structures of his plays, making them accessible to ourselves and to our audiences.
This course is for both lovers of Shakespeare and those yet to fall in love, alike.
