We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Schools Coordinator to join us in bringing the magic of improvisation to schools across Victoria. This flexible part-time role (2-4 hours a week) comes with a weekly pay of $100 plus superannuation and a 6-month contract.

Job Description

Role

The School workshops co-ordinator will manage all communication concerning bookings of our shows, workshops and Theatresports challenge with schools and organisations representing schools, for instance, Regional Arts Victoria. Working with the Artistic Director (AD) and Business Manager to create a plan for the year and the Schools Theatresports Challenge team about the activities offered by IM.

Keep an up to date record on Asana (our current online platform management is using) of bookings, projected and confirmed. AD is currently responsible for casting.

Look to grow our school bookings by contacting previous clients and looking for opportunities to promote our school offerings (For instance Drama Vic conference.)

Work amount will be variable and fluctuate between weeks with some weeks having 1-2 hours worth of work and some could be up to 4 hours. Pay each week for the 6-month contract will be $100 per week regardless of hours.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop (as required), review and track progress on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  2. Attend School shows, workshop rehearsals and meetings to develop a greater understanding of our products.
  3. Oversee all elements of customer service and feedback in regards to schools, including:
    • design of all materials to be used for product advertising, in line with the Marketing Strategy;
    • develop and disseminate surveys to students and teachers reporting on the results;
    • ask for feedback, quotes, etc. from Schools customers;
  4. Provide required reporting to the committee and company.
  5. Support the Business Manager and AD  in responding to customer and public inquiries as well as communications with company members and Committee in regards to Schools products.
  6. Follow all budgeting procedures and administrative processes, as outlined by the Business Manager and Administrator.
  7. Engage with the broader schools community to build and develop key relationships and partnerships to further Impro Melbourne’s artistic goals and position Impro Melbourne as Australia’s premier improvised theatre company  - For example Drama Vic, RAV.

Preferred Skills

  1. Administration experience in an arts organisation would be highly valued.
  2. An understanding of Victoria Schools programs and curriculum would be highly valued.
