We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Schools Coordinator to join us in bringing the magic of improvisation to schools across Victoria. This flexible part-time role (2-4 hours a week) comes with a weekly pay of $100 plus superannuation and a 6-month contract.
Kingdom of Dragons is Impro Melbourne's binge-worthy tale of magic and epic adventure, with an ongoing story continuing across all six “episodes” of the season. With three shows down and three to go, you might be wondering: is it too late to jump in? Absolutely not!
Impro Melbourne is looking for skilled performers who have a passion for improvisation to join our Rookie program.
Five intrepid actors take the stage. Each in turn directs the other four in the first scene of a story. Will we see the end of each story? You decide! Each director makes a pitch, then the audience votes to eliminate one story. The remaining directors, with a sigh of relief, direct their second scene. So goes Super Scene, which makes its return to the Impro Melbourne stage for the first time since 2015!
Creating something "new" requires generating a lot of ideas. To allow those ideas to bubble up, judgment - "good" or "bad" - must be suspended. Improv helps me with this through radical acceptance of ideas - others and my own.

Last month Impro Melbourne hosted its annual Schools Theatresports™ challenge post-COVID. The entire Impro Melbourne Company volunteered their time to host the event in Elwood, and mentor students from 8 schools, and across Years 7-12.
